The Yacht Club has been recognized as the premier social organization within South Gulf Cove. We organize a wide range of events and activities, some on the water and some on land. Water activities include raft-ups in the Interceptor Lagoon, poker runs, luncheon trips to various restaurants around Charlotte Harbor and beyond, overnight trips to resorts in Southwest Florida, the Florida Keys and the east coast of Florida and an annual Lighted Boat Parade in December. Land events include themed diner dance parties such as Halloween Party, Sweetheart Dance, Oktoberfest, plus other events such as Lobster & Clam Bake, Monte Carlo Night, Stone Crab Baseball night, and more.

John Baum & Mary Bayless are originally from New Jersey, but they are long time-residents of South Gulf Cove. Finally, they decided to join.
Jim & Kathy Cass are retirees from New Hampshire, living on Aquarius Circle. “This Is It” is their 28 foot Boston Whaler.
Jim & Anna Coleman live on Rosebud Circle and in New Hampshire. They have a 17’ Boston Whaler.
Bill & Beth Fletcher are from Georgia. Look for their 21’ Key West cruizin’ the canals near Long Beach Street.
Bill & Gail Kennedy own a lot on Viscount Circle and live in Sarasota. They are looking for a SGC home.
Mike Packer & Margaret Hurley moved to SGC from Connecticut. Look for them on Burwell Circle. Little did they know – they’ll have a great viewing spot for the Lighted Boat Parade.
Peter, Gail & Patricia Passaretti are from San Jose, CA. They are full-time residents on Singer Circle.
Ken & Ginger Reile moved from Minnesota to Hialeah Terrace. Encourage them to bring "Sweet as Sugar”, their 22’ Bennington Pontoon to the next Raft-up in the Interceptor Lagoon.
Tim & Christina Thiel live on Begonia Circle. They’re from NJ. He’s a retired Police Officer and she’s a Medical Examiner. He’s spends his days fishing on their 21 foot Key West. Hey Tim– you should consider being in Marine Watch…or Neighborhood Watch.
Your Welcome package, Waterways Map, and badges will be available at the next meeting on Tuesday, March 6th. Please stop by the Membership table before or after the meeting.

The South Gulf Cove Yacht Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in the American Legion Post #113, located at 3426 Indiana Street Rotonda, Florida 33847.
Membership is open to any person who resides or owns property within South Gulf Cove. Dues are $40.00 per year per household with a one time $25.00 registration fee. If you are interested in becoming a member print the Membership Application, compete it and attach a check for the dues and initiation fee and mail the completed application to the address on the top of the application, or drop it off with our Membership Chairperson at one of our monthly meetings.
Anyone interested in purchasing a Remote Control for the South Gulf Cove Lock, can purchase them by contacting Tom Ireland from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday at 941-698-1909. Cost is $32. You do not need to be a South Gulf Cove Yacht Club member to purchase a Lock Remote.
