The Yacht Club has been recognized as the premier social organization within South Gulf Cove. We organize a wide range of events and activities, some on the water and some on land. Water activities include raft-ups in the Interceptor Lagoon, poker runs, luncheon trips to various restaurants around Charlotte Harbor and beyond, overnight trips to resorts in Southwest Florida, the Florida Keys and the east coast of Florida and an annual Lighted Boat Parade in December. Land events include themed diner dance parties such as Halloween Party, Sweetheart Dance, Oktoberfest, plus other events such as Lobster & Clam Bake, Monte Carlo Night, Stone Crab Baseball night, and more.

Welcome aboard new 2017 members to the South Gulf Cove Yacht Club:
Norm & Pat Kepler moved from Gulf Cove, not far at all. See them on “Patty Too”, their 21’ Proline. They reside on Appleton.
Mitch & Shannon Mesenburg live on Wiltshire and moved from Ohio. No boat yet, but they love motorcycles.
Joe & Uri Stack moved from New Hampshire and are currently living on Ayear Rd. Joe loves photography. Maybe he’d like to volunteer to photograph some Yacht Club events.
Paulie & Cyndi Steneri live on Spring Circle. They moved from Enfield, CT. They love to dance, can’t wait for them to join our parties at the Pavilion.
Doug & Kathleen Viohl came from Algonac, Michigan. Their hobbies include boating, fishing and golfing. Find them on Rosebud Circle. They joined at the exciting “Night at the Races”.
Marilyn Willert & Joe Ervolino are on Taurus Circle. You might see them fishing from their 20’ Sea Hunt Center Console.
Charles & Charlotte Cooper came from Reno, Nevada to Alcove Circle. No boat yet, but they are looking.
Jody & Susan Foster are on Alsask Circle and moved from Minnesota. Their hobbies are fishing and VW Dune Buggies.
Donald and Cindy Fry can be seen on “Moorea Sun”, their 19’6” SeaRay. They live on Overlook Ave and came from Ohio.
Michael & Lisa Haines came from Long Island, NY. They are living on Gazania Drive.
John & Bonnie Mackenzie live on Galaxie Circle. Look for them on “Paige”, their 17’6” Bayliner.
Jim & Judy Stafford can be seen cruising the canals on “Southern Comfort”, their 26’ Formula Bowrider. They live on Hialeah Terrace. Jim is a retired Marina Manager.
Larry Spoljoric and Gayle Rewers came from Indiana and live on Melport Circle.
Colleen Stapleton is a year-round resident living on Chambersburg Ave.

The South Gulf Cove Yacht Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in the American Legion Post #113, located at 3426 Indiana Street Rotonda, Florida 33847.
Membership is open to any person who resides or owns property within South Gulf Cove. Dues are $40.00 per year per household with a one time $25.00 registration fee. If you are interested in becoming a member print the Membership Application, compete it and attach a check for the dues and initiation fee and mail the completed application to the address on the top of the application, or drop it off with our Membership Chairperson at one of our monthly meetings.
Anyone interested in purchasing a Remote Control for the South Gulf Cove Lock, can purchase them by contacting Tom Ireland from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday at 941-698-1909. Cost is $32. You do not need to be a South Gulf Cove Yacht Club member to purchase a Lock Remote.
