Trick or Treat by Boat
Sunday, October 27th, 2pm - 5pm at various docks & homes in South Gulf Cove
This event is designed to get members out enjoying and exploring our wonderful canals! It will be set up similar to the Poker Run where you travel by boat to 5 or 6 places to collect treats. So get some friends together, put on your best or worst costumes, maybe decorate your boat and get ready to have a great time on the water! One stop will be judging the boats for the best costumes but you will not know which stop this is. Captains will provide their name (or a group name of your choosing) at all stops. The reason for not disclosing the true judges is to avoid congestion at that stop and to make sure you make it to all stops! Also, there will be one boat judging the stops for the best decorations and costumes! Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the members meeting on November 5th.  Should we end up with one of those rare rainy days, the make-up date will Saturday Nov 2.
We are looking for 4 or 5 more people who live on the water to host a stop. The yacht club will provide you with 2 cases of Miller Lite, some individual wines, and candy to give out. You can add your own treats if you like, invite your friends and enjoy seeing all the boats!
Please contact Marc at to sign up as a stop. There will not be a sign up of boats, you just show up. Maps will be emailed before the event to show stops.
To kick off the wee of Halloween, we will be boating down the SGC canals for some trick or treating by boat.  Join us on a different kind of boat event in our very own community.
